After studying herbal medicine in Australia, Julian Barnard returned to England to study the botany of the Bach flower remedies.

Julian Barnard was first drawn to the Bach flower system when he found a copy of Bach's book The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies.He has been involved with the remedies since 1976 and is known internationally as an essence maker, author and teacher on the subject of Dr Bach and his flower remedies.

Julian Barnard learned to make Bach remedies from Nickie Murray, who worked at the Bach Centre with Nora Weeks. Together with Martine, Julian raised a young family and started up Healingherbs.

Healingherbs has funded research into the origins of the Bach plants, including an expedition to China in 2004 to discover the original habitat of Cerato.

Photographing the Bach flowers has always been at the heart of Julian Barnard's work, creating the most inspiring images of the flowers.

Today, Julian Barnard is involved with every process of making Healingherbs Bach Remedies. From making the essence, to packing up orders, he ensures that every step of the process is carried out with care and attention.

In his spare time, Julian likes to walk and garden, tend fish, bees and chickens!
